This one-of-a-kind neck piece holds a bezel set hand cut stone of unknown origin in a pierced sterling setting and two tube set cubic zirconia. The Setting is 5 1/2 inches wide and the chain is 14 inches long. The piece hangs approximately as an 18 inch chain length.
This cabochon stone was hand cut by an emerging lapidary. I love the fact that the stone is not uniformly rounded and polished and there are rough lines across the stone. The back of the setting is pierced and the design of the setting highlights these elements. Sadly, I do not know what the stone is and the lapidary who cut this stone died due to complications of diabetes.
